The beauty of Paris Hilton’s mugshot is, well, the beauty: her glamorous side part, her tumbling Jayne Mansfield waves, her impervious smile, and flawless makeup. It was enough to (almost) make us forget her legal troubles. The actress was first arrested and charged in 2006 for driving under the influence and had her license suspended; then, twice in 2007, she was pulled over and found to be driving with an invalid license. Ruled in violation of her probation terms, Hilton was sentenced May 4, 2007, to 45 days in jail for driving with a suspended license. She was booked June 3 and told she’d have to serve only 23 days, but on June 7, she was released on home confinement. The next day, a screaming and crying Hilton was ordered back to jail to serve out the remainder of her 23 days. She was officially released June 26.
