President Bush surveys the damage
I couldn’t care less that Bush got his picture taken flying over New Orleans after Katrina. That’s what politicians do. Just like I’d prefer that Governor Schwarzenegger fly over our wildfires rather than stand in them. It also didn’t matter to me that Bush wasn’t instantly on the ground getting his picture taken while pretending to hand out ice. But there was something about Bush’s response to Katrina that did bother me—oh, yeah, it was that he didn’t have one. Nor did the former dildo salesman he appointed to head FEMA. In other words, I get far more angry when politicians don’t do their jobs than when they get their pictures taken pretending to do somebody else’s.
